How It Works
The device communicates with supported vehicle control units through the diagnostic connection. It starts an automated diagnostic clearing procedure and removes supported inactive DTC records and related temporary limitation messages. No computer or separate diagnostic application is required for the clearing procedure.
Operating Instructions
- Park the vehicle safely, apply the parking brake and switch off unnecessary electrical consumers.
- Switch on the ignition without starting the engine.
- Connect the DTC cleaner to the correct vehicle diagnostic socket or the specified adapter.
- Wait while the blue LED flashes and the automatic clearing procedure runs.
- A green LED indicates that the procedure has completed. A red LED indicates that the operation was aborted and the faults were not cleared.
- Switch off the ignition and disconnect the device.
- Switch the ignition on again and check the dashboard. If a warning returns, diagnose and repair the underlying fault before repeating the procedure.
Important Use Information
- Use only with the vehicle families and emission standards stated in the compatibility section.
- Do not disconnect the device while the clearing procedure is running.
- The unit clears supported inactive or stored fault codes; active faults may return immediately.
- The device does not disable emission systems and does not repair mechanical, electrical or emissions-system faults.
The device clears stored or inactive fault codes. It does not repair the underlying mechanical or electrical fault.
