Installation & Programming

1. Remove the key from the ignition slot before removing the comfort module.
2. Read the comfort module ST-M95320 EEPROM using compatible equipment and save the data.
3. Write the saved data to the emulator EEPROM.
4. Synchronize the emulator with the original ESL using the MK12358 connection adapter.
5. With the OBD connection, original ESL and emulator connected, the red and green lights flash for approximately 2–3 minutes; the green light then remains on.
6. Connect the emulator in place of the original ESL and reinstall the comfort module.
7. Verify operation.

Important Security Effect

Programming this emulator puts the vehicle into IMMO OFF mode. The original transponder-key authorization protection is no longer retained.

• Megamos 48: new keys can be programmed through the comfort module.
• Megamos 46 proximity key: the original steering lock must be reinstalled before new keys can be programmed.
